"Thunder" is a delightful piano piece that captures the story of a little wiener dog’s panicked reaction to a sudden storm. The piece begins with students clapping as loudly as possible, to imitate the storm sounds. As the thunder rumbles, the music mimics the dog’s trembling, with deep, booming notes representing the thunderclaps. The tension builds as the piano explores different "thundering" sounds. Students are carried away by both the drama and whimsy of the scene. The piece ends with an exhilarating glissando, reminding us of the dog's desperate dash under the nearest blanket for safety.
