The Sneaky Sock Thief
Who’s it for: second year student
What’s inside: quarters, quarter rests, half note, glissando at end.
Challenges: d minor position. Students place LH 5 on D and RH thumb on D. Read notes D, E, F, G, and A in both hands. Optional grace note. Don’t feel bad about omitting it!
Watson the Dachshund is a real dog who was born on March 11, 2015.
She started out as my granddog, and then my daughter and her family moved overseas. Watson has moved into my home and is one of my favorite doxies of all time!
Watson has some quirky habits, which inspire my composing. One of these habits is to steal my socks and hide them in odd places!
Kids love the story of the sneaky dog who steals socks. Ignite their music imagination with the soft staccato notes, the creepy rhythm, and finally the dash-away-with the socks glissando!
This is a digital download with a studio license. You may print as many copies as you like for your students. Please do not share with other teachers. Thank you for supporting composers!
